"The term “Satya Nag Champa” was coined by Late Shri K. N. Satyam Setty, a pioneer in the manufacture of traditional masala incense in India. During the early 1960s, while developing a unique incense blend based on the fragrance of Champa flowers and other blended fragrances,he adopted the name “Satya” from his own name, Satyam, signifying truth and authenticity. The word “Nag” was derived from his father’s name, Nagaiah, while “Champa” referred to the principal floral note used in the fragrance composition.

The resulting name “Satya Nag Champa” was used to identify the distinctive incense blend that later became internationally renowned.The product gained widespread popularity during the late 1960s and 1970s, well before the incorporation of the present business entities,and became one of the most recognized Indian incense products across the world."
